Two people were killed inside the Catholic Church in Lestè as gangs carried out violent attacks in the town. The operator escaped unharmed, but another person with him was fatally shot. Brigadiers quickly secured and retrieved the victim’s body despite ongoing tension in the area.

A kidnapping attempt in Delmas 49 was foiled after armed suspects in a white Prado Land Cruiser targeted a person traveling in a Jeep. The kidnappers were unable to take the victim before fleeing.

A group of travelers who were stuck in Arcahaie gathered in front of the Saint-Marc police station and later went to the Arcahaie town hall to demand clarity from the state. The crowd is seeking explanations about the situation that left them stranded.
