Operations to Remove Barricades Face Setbacks

In an effort to fight gangs, police launched operations to clear barricades and demolish walls in areas including private homes, universities, and businesses—such as IERAH faculty across from Locha Church on Avenue Christophe. However, gangs repeatedly rebuild the barricades soon after police intervention. Despite months of similar actions, gangs continue to maintain checkpoints, control neighborhoods, and even organize events, though kamikaze drone strikes have instilled some fear.
